Any reason to party
Lee and Dee Anderson, Jack Robert 37VT17, held a BBQ at Hansen's Harbor to wish bon voyage to Dave & Bicki Howell, Nellie D 37VT63. Dee and Lee wowed everyone with their fabulous shrimp BBQ. Also attending were Trevor and Stephanie Croteau, plus their daughter Ashley, Hjortie 37VT33, and Peter Hansen (owner of Hansen's Harbor).
The Howells plan to head down the Mississippi River, pick up the Illinois River and get to Lake Michigan. They hope to spend time in Canadian waters and true to form, who knows where they will end up.

On the Mississippi
From Dave Howell, Nellie D. 37VT63
Getting ready to head south on the Mississippi next week. This year the water may be low enough to allow us to see the ubiquitous, pesky wing dams which try so hard to sink us mariners.

Yard projects
It is nice that friends don't let friends work alone! Dave Howell, Nellie D. 37VT63, and Lee & Dee Anderson, Jack Robert 37VT17, took advantage of the fabulous weather at Hansen's Marina, Lake City, MN to get boat projects completed. Jack Robert was splashed last week while Nellie D. is still on the hard, shrink wrapped. The Andersons were busy refinishing their Dutch doors. Nellie was in the process of getting all new (below the waterline) thru hulls / sea cocks. Dave set up a little work station in the shade to grind the thru hulls to proper length.
