I just changed the Racor fuel filter and was curious to see whether it had picked up any dirt. I took it apart and spread it out. The pleats unfolded to 72 inches long. At 2-1/4 inches wide the filter area is 162 square inches of filter. The filter was perfectly clean; not a speck of dirt. So, I guess I won't change the filter on the engine this spring. - Allan Seymour, standing by to field comments.
